Data and account deletion
This page can be referenced in the stores to document deletion and retention options.
1. Current access model
SebScribe uses a user account linked to your email address. Older installations may still use an existing access during the transition phase.
2. Delete local data (immediate)
- In the application, use the history deletion actions to erase local transcriptions.
- You can also disable local audio retention in the application settings.
- Uninstalling the application removes the remaining local data in the app sandbox (depending on the platform).
3. Delete backend-side data
Send a request to privacy@sebscribe.be
with the subject Data deletion request and the following minimal information:
- platform used (Windows/macOS/Android/iOS);
- approximate period of use;
- useful technical identifier (if available in the app);
- contact address to confirm the deletion.
Target processing time: 30 days maximum, except where legal retention or an ongoing security constraint applies.
4. Synchronization and retention
If synchronization is enabled, transcriptions may be stored temporarily on the backend according to the configured retention. This data is purged automatically upon expiry.
